Nutty Ayurveda Flapjacks

A very convenient snack or breakfast on the go. These flapjacks are really easy to make and keep for about 3-4 days if covered in an airtight container. These Ayurvedic flapjacks are absolutely delicious and are great for strengthening and nourishing. They are vata and pitta pacifying Very healthy and tasty.

Ingredients

  • 2 mugs of oats
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp of turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons of organic unsalted butter
  • 4-6 tablespoons of coconut / almond butter
  • 7 dates
  • 4 figs
  • 8 brazil nuts
  • 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • Pinch of himalayan salt

Method

  • Preheat oven 180
  • Blend all ingredients (until it sticks together – if mixture is too dry add more coconut oil)
  • Put into baking tray
  • Smooth mixture with a spatula & make sure its compacted down
  • Place in oven
  • Bake for 20-30mins or until golden brown
  • Allow to cool
  • Cut into squares
  • Serve
